Question 1

What is Betweenpin?

Accepted Answer

Betweenpin is being built to help people meeting from two U.S. addresses choose a fair midpoint meetup and find nearby places to eat, explore, or spend time together. The goal is to make the shared plan easier to choose. Address verification, address-based midpoint results, and nearby-place search are not available yet.

Question 2

Who is Betweenpin for?

Accepted Answer

Betweenpin is for people coordinating a meetup from two different U.S. addresses, such as friends, family, or a group trying to choose a place that feels fair to everyone. That is the intended use; it does not mean the address or place-search tools are live.

Question 3

How is a midpoint meetup supposed to work?

Accepted Answer

The planned idea is to start with two U.S. addresses, find the geographic point between them, and then explore nearby places together. Address-based midpoint results and nearby-place results are not available yet.

Question 4

Can Betweenpin verify addresses or calculate a midpoint today?

Accepted Answer

No. The current app does not connect entered addresses to coordinates, verify them, or return an address-based midpoint. The midpoint page is an early preview, not a working address lookup.

Question 5

Can I find nearby restaurants or activities today?

Accepted Answer

Not yet. Nearby-place search is not connected, so Betweenpin does not currently return live restaurants, activities, or other local suggestions.

Question 6

What happens if I use the midpoint preview?

Accepted Answer

The preview accepts two address strings and can save them in the page URL, but it does not verify them or produce location results. Because those strings appear in the link, avoid entering sensitive address details or sharing the link with others.
